Easter 2011

We had a great Easter, this last Sunday.I always loved Easter when I was little and I hoped my kids would too. On Saturday when Logan woke up from her nap we dyed Eggs. Logan loved throwing the eggs in the colored cups. she would take the eggs out of one color and put it in another color mixing the all the colors together. She had so much fun, it was great to watch her. When she was finished her hands were brightly colored from the dye, she looked like an Easter egg herself.

On Sunday the Easter bunny came to our house and left Logan, Caiden, and David a basket full of goodies. Caiden's was fulled with teething toys and rattles. Logan's was filled with stickers, markers, play dough, and bubbles. Both kids got a bathing suit. ( my mom always use to put a bathing suit in my Easter basket and I wanted to do the same) David is not really into Easter
( being Jewish) So the Easter bunny brought him a basket filled with his favorite candy anyways.

When Logan woke up in the morning she saw plastic eggs all over our house she had a blast finding all the egg that were hidden and she got excited opening them.
( they were filled with money, mostly pennies) Then she saw that the Easter bunny had filled her easter basket with goodies.

Since we do not have a backyard we went to two different places to find eggs. It was beautiful day, really warm. We met with our good friends ( Logan's best friend Grace)
The first one had a petting zoo, Logan fed a goat and petted a bunny.

She also got to see the Easter bunny from a far. She waved to him and thanked him for her easter basket. After she woke up from her nap we went to a church by our house and search for eggs. It is a beautiful area they have a garden where they hide the eggs. They have two areas one for older kids and one for toddlers. Tons of kids go to this hunt so the eggs go fast. At 3pm they ring the church bells and they open the gates to let the kids in to find the eggs. At first Logan would only pick up the yellow ones, I told her pick up all of them before the other kids pick them up. She then got the hang of it and picked up all the colors. The hunt lasted for about 10 minutes and then it was over. The kids played in the playground and ran around the grassy area, they even found a boy to pull them around in a wagon. It was such a fun day! We were all super tired at the end of it. I can not wait until next year, to see Caiden running around with his sister finding eggs!
